MEAI meeting at Panhala.

Today we had a special lecture meeting of Mining Engineers' Association of India, Belgaum Chapter at Valley View hotel, Panhala. Dr.A.R.Kulkarni gave a brief account on Gadgil's report on Western Ghats World Heritage and issues related to Mining, environmental assessment issues, protected and buffer zones, the possible impact on the mining industry etc. Two of my students Sagar and Suresh have become the members of MEAI today.

Field excursion and Joint meeting with MEAI Goa Chapter

The MEAI Belgaum Chapter had a field excursion and a joint meeting with the MEAI Goa Chapter. We visited Cuddegal Iron Ore Open Cast Mines on 22nd and had a overview of mining and mineral processing technology at Cuddegal Mines. A well equipped and machanised mines one should not miss to see it especially the mineral processing and upgradation of ore. On the same day we had a joint meeting. The MEAI Belgaum Chapter is highly obliged to MEAI Goa chapter for arranging this field excursion and joint meeting. Dr.Hanamgond.
